So, you've decided to go ahead and look at dog beds online.  Great idea, right?  Not so fast!  You've got heated dog beds, cooling dog beds, elevated dog beds, memory foam dog beds and even dog sofas.  Add the fact that you're also looking for unique dog beds and BAM, it's a circus out there!  So, why does it have to be so difficult?  Well, it really doesn't.

So, before going into the different types of dog beds and the benefits of each, I thought it would be a good idea to share a bit of my background and my history with dogs.  After all, you've done me a huge favor by reading my blog and trusting my judgement when it comes to shopping for pet supplies.  I am certainly no stranger to buying dog beds online.  As a matter of fact, if there were a degree, I'd be set:

Now... if you wish to jump right to my dog bed reviews, please click here.

My extreme fascination with dogs started when I was around 7 years old.  We had a Shetland Sheepdog named "Sheltie" (I know, original).  She was my end-all, be-all.  When I was sad, I would cuddle up with her and all of my problems would disappear.  My parents separated when I was very young and we too were separated from our Sheltie.  It was then that I knew I was never meant to be without a dog.  And so it began...

Fast forward through many years and many rescues and along came my Snickers. I was fortunate enough to have 7 years with him.  However, I lost my boy to a rare form of cancer not too long ago.  Despite our best efforts, he passed away 2 years to the day of his diagnosis.

(Snickers shortly following his surgery that gave us 2 more wonderful years)

My world fell apart.  If you're reading my blog, chances are you've encountered such a loss and I'm truly sorry if you have. The silence in my home was deafening.  Anyone who has ever owned a Shetland Sheepdog knows exactly what a presence they are.  So... after some careful thought and many tears, along came my Bentley Lou and that is where I am today.

So... feel confident in knowing this blog was made, designed, written and updated by yours truly!  I don't hire anyone to do anything for me (unlike many others).  You will always hear from me and me alone!  With that said, I hope you enjoy my dog bed reviews.  I'll be sharing some more reviews on other pet supplies so please check back soon!

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.  It is called The Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors.  Just this side of The Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.  When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.  There is always food and water and warm spring weather.  The old and frail are made young again.  Those who are maimed are made whole again.  They play all day with each other.  There is only one thing missing.  They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth.  So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!  The nose twitches!  The eyes are staring!  And this one suddenly runs from the group!  You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace.  Your face is kissed again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.  Then you cross The Rainbow Bridge together, never to be separated.
